Melanotan-2

Melanotan-2 (MT-2) is a synthetic analogue of the peptide hormone α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) that stimulates melanogenesis to facilitate tanning. It may also increase sexual arousal and boost erection hardness and duration.

MT-2 has also been noted across several studies to increase rigidity and duration of male erection, as well as male sexual desire. It has also been shown to increase female sexual desire in patients with sexual arousal disorder.

Overview

Melanotan-2 is a lab-made chemical. It is similar to a hormone found in the body. It was originally made as a drug to help treat certain skin conditions. It is also sold over the internet as a supplement.

Melanotan-2 is commonly used for skin tanning. It is also used to produce erections in men with erectile dysfunction (ED), for rosacea, for fibromyalgia, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support most of these uses. There is also concern that melanotan might not be safe when used as a shot under the skin.

Be careful not to confuse melanotan with melatonin.

How does it work ?

MT-2 is similar to a substance in our bodies, called “melanocyte-stimulating hormone.” This hormone increases the production of skin-darkening pigments. Melanotan might also work in the brain to stimulate erections of the penis.

Possibly Effective for:

Erectile dysfunction (ED). Most early research looks very promising suggesting that giving Melanotan-2 (MT-2) as a shot under the skin helps men with erectile dysfunction achieve and keep a a much harder and longer lasting erections.
MT-2 increases intracavernosal pressure in the penis by activating central melanocortin receptors. This increase in pressure in the penis corpora can lead to bigger, stronger and longer lasting erections.

Does Melanotan-2 make you tan?

Melanotan-2 plays a prominent role in the production of pigment in the skin allows for self-tanning with lower UV exposure. This means that the body will grow tanned all over, even in places that are not exposed to sunlight. However, UV exposure will accelerate the tanning process in exposed areas.
